Home Sync is a bridge device. It lets your supported smart devices work with Apple HomeKit, so you can control them through the Apple Home app and with Siri voice commands.

You can place your Beakn switches into Apple Home rooms that match your real home — Living Room, Bedroom, Kitchen, Balcony. Then you can control a whole room by voice.

Apple Home Scenes (Multi-Device Scenes in the Home App)

Apple Home has its own scenes. You can make a scene that includes Beakn switches together with other HomeKit devices, all from different brands.

Apple Home can run automations on its own — triggered by time of day, sunrise/sunset, people arriving or leaving, or a device's state changing. Best of all, these run locally on your Apple Home Hub, even if your phone is away or the internet is down.

How to set up Home Sync

Step 1 — Connect the Home Sync device

1.Connect Home Sync to your PoE switch or router using an Ethernet cable.

2.Power it using the USB Type-C port.

3.Wait until the device fully powers on.

Step 2 — Connect Home Sync in the app

1.Make sure your phone is on the same Wi-Fi network as Home Sync.

2.Open the app.

3.Tap Settings.

4.Tap Devices.

5.Tap the "+" icon.

6.Search for Home Sync.

7.Select and connect the Home Sync device.

Step 3 — Add devices to Home Sync

1.After Home Sync connects, the app shows all compatible smart devices.

2.Select the devices you want to use with Apple HomeKit.

3.Tap Done.

1.Open the Apple Home app.

2.Tap "+" → Add Accessory.

3.Scan or add the Home Sync accessory.

4.Complete the pairing.

5.Once paired, all devices linked to Home Sync appear in the Apple Home app.

1.Set up the bridge (HomeSync, or install Homebridge on a Raspberry Pi and add the Beakn plugin).

How to use it

1.Go to Settings from the bottom menu.

2.Tap Devices.

3.Select HomeSync.

4.Tap Additional Selected Devices.

To update the device selection:

•To remove a device, uncheck its tick box.

•To add newly installed devices, select their tick boxes.

5.After making changes, go back and tap Actions.

6.Select Refresh to apply and sync the updated list.

This makes sure all your selected devices are correctly updated in HomeSync.
