Beakn Smart COB CCT Driver (7W–24W)
The Beakn Smart COB CCT Driver (7W–24W) is a retrofit smart driver that replaces the standard non-smart driver inside any existing 7W–24W COB light — spotlight, downlight, track light, or COB panel. Once swapped (typically in ~15 minutes by an electrician), the same COB light becomes fully app- and voice-controlled with two new capabilities: tunable white colour (2500K–6500K) and smooth 0–100% flicker-free dimming. The light fixture, housing, COB chip, and mains wiring are completely unchanged — only the driver is replaced.
It connects directly to 2.4GHz WiFi with no hub, works with Apple Siri, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa, and includes 20 app features at no subscription cost. Designed specifically for Indian electrical conditions, it accepts 90–300VAC input and carries BIS certification.
> CCT driver requires a CCT-capable COB light — one with separate warm and cool chips and a 3-wire output. If your COB light has only a single fixed colour, choose the standard (non-CCT) Smart COB Driver (7W–24W) instead.

Installation
Installation & Wiring
Prerequisites — Check Before Purchase
1.COB wattage: The COB light must be rated between 7W and 24W. Do not use this driver with a COB light above 24W (use the 26W–30W driver for those).
2.CCT-capable COB light: The COB light must have separate warm and cool chips and a 3-wire output. A single-colour COB light cannot use the CCT driver — choose the standard Smart COB Driver (7W–24W) instead.
3.Neutral wire available: A neutral wire must be present at the fixture. The driver connects to both live and neutral on the mains input side.
4.WiFi: 2.4GHz network required. 5GHz is not supported.

Installation Steps (Qualified Electrician — ~15 Minutes)
1.Switch off the circuit breaker supplying the COB light.
2.Access the driver: open the fixture or gain access through the ceiling cavity to locate the existing driver.
3.Note existing wiring connections:
•Mains input: Live and Neutral
•COB output: 3 wires (for CCT — warm positive, cool positive, and common/negative)
4.Disconnect the old driver from all wires.
5.Connect the Beakn Smart COB CCT Driver to the same wires:
•Mains input → Live and Neutral
•COB output → the 3-wire COB light terminals (warm, cool, common)
6.Power on the circuit breaker.
7.Pair in the Beakn app over 2.4GHz WiFi following the in-app instructions.
Post-Installation Notes
•Allow a little clearance around the driver for airflow in ceiling cavities.
•One driver controls one COB light. To control multiple lights together, group them into a Room or Scene in the Beakn app.
•Free installation is available in 8 cities — check the Beakn website or app for covered cities.

Tunable White (CCT) — 2500K to 6500K
Shift the same COB light from warm halogen-like light (2500K) through neutral white to cool daylight (6500K), or any value in between. Adjust manually via app or voice, or schedule colour temperature to move automatically through the day — warmer in the evening, cooler during work hours.
Full-Range Dimming — 0% to 100%
High-frequency PWM dimming stays flicker-free across the entire range, including very low brightness levels where cheap drivers typically flicker or strobe. No eye strain, no visible pulse.
Wide Input Voltage — 90VAC to 300VAC
Handles the full range of Indian voltage fluctuation and post-outage spikes. No external stabiliser required for the driver. Stable output regardless of incoming voltage variation.
Anti-Surge Protection — Up to 4.5kV
Built-in surge protection handles transient spikes up to 4.5kV. Short-circuit and over-voltage protections both include automatic recovery — no fuses to replace, no manual reset required.
Isolated Flyback Topology
Mains and LED sides are electrically separated. Benefits: lower electrical noise, improved COB LED lifespan, and a safer design compared to non-isolated drivers.
Direct WiFi — No Hub

Offline Schedules
Programmed schedules continue to execute locally on the driver even without an internet connection. Local app control also continues on the same WiFi network.
Low Heat Operation

Q: Do I need to replace my COB light or open the ceiling?
No. Only the driver is replaced. The COB chip, reflector, trim, and housing are untouched, and no ceiling work is required.
Q: My COB light is a single colour — can I use this CCT driver?
No. The CCT driver requires a COB light with separate warm and cool chips (CCT-capable) and a 3-wire output. If your COB light is single-colour, use the standard Smart COB Driver (7W–24W), which provides 0–100% dimming without colour tuning.
