Beakn Smart COB Driver (26W–30W)
The Beakn Smart COB Driver (26W–30W) is a WiFi-enabled replacement driver designed for existing COB lights rated between 26W and 30W — including spotlights, downlights, track lights, and COB panels.
It is a dimming-only driver: it does not tune colour temperature, and the COB light retains its single fixed colour temperature throughout.
Making a COB light smart requires no new fixture, no new housing, and no rewiring. An electrician opens the existing fitting, swaps the old standard driver for the Beakn smart driver, and the same light becomes fully app- and voice-controlled with 0–100% smooth, flicker-free dimming. The swap takes approximately 15 minutes.
The driver connects directly to a 2.4GHz WiFi network — no hub, no bridge, no extra hardware. It works with Apple Siri, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa, and is controlled through the free Beakn app (iOS and Android).

Installation
Prerequisites
•COB light rated 26W to 30W (spotlight, downlight, track light, or COB panel)

Step-by-Step Installation
1.Switch off the circuit breaker supplying the COB light.
2.Open the fixture — access the existing driver inside the housing or ceiling cavity.
3.Disconnect the old standard driver:
•Mains input: live and neutral wires.
•Output: the two wires running to the COB chip.
4.Connect the Beakn Smart COB Driver (26W–30W) to the same wires:
•Mains input: live → live terminal; neutral → neutral terminal.
•Output: to the COB chip (two output wires for a single-colour COB light).
5.Close the fixture — the COB light, housing, reflector, and trim are entirely unchanged.
6.Restore power at the breaker.
7.Pair with the Beakn app (iOS or Android) over 2.4GHz WiFi — the driver connects directly to the cloud; no hub needed.
8.Assign the light to a Room or Scene in the app as required.

Wiring Notes
•This is a standard two-wire COB output driver (single colour, no CCT). Do not use with a CCT-capable (3-wire output) COB light expecting colour tuning — use the Beakn Smart COB CCT Driver (26W–30W) for that.
•Neutral is mandatory. If only a switch-live is available at the fixture (no neutral), this driver cannot be installed without a wiring modification.
•Allow a small clearance around the driver inside the cavity for airflow — the ~90% efficiency keeps heat low, but minimal ventilation space is good practice.

No. The Smart COB Driver (26W–30W) is a dimming-only driver. It dims from 0% to 100% but does not change colour temperature. The light will stay at whatever fixed colour it was designed for.
