The Beakn Energy Meter 3 Phase Box (60A) is a three-phase inline home energy monitor designed for larger homes and high-load installations. It fits inside your distribution panel and measures all three live phases (R, Y, B) plus neutral simultaneously — giving you real-time visibility into your home's complete electrical picture, phase by phase.
Unlike the DIN-rail variants, this is an enclosed Box meter: the three live wires and neutral pass directly through the meter — no external CT clamps required, and no cutting or splicing. It handles up to 60A per phase, making it the right inline solution for three-phase homes that haven't yet crossed that threshold.

Wiring Requirements

Step-by-Step (Electrician Guide)

Q: Do I need an electrician, or can I install it myself?

Q: Does it replace my DISCOM electricity meter?
No. Your DISCOM meter is the sealed legal billing meter. The Beakn Energy Meter is a separate sub-meter installed on your side of the panel for monitoring, alerts, and protection. Both run simultaneously — they do not interfere with each other.
Q: Why do I need a neutral wire?
The meter measures phase voltage relative to neutral and draws its own operating power from the circuit. All four connections (R, Y, B, Neutral) are required for correct operation.
Q: What happens when voltage goes too high or too low?
The moment any phase crosses above 280V or below 200V, you get an instant Beakn app notification and a WhatsApp message with the exact voltage reading. If you have Beakn smart switches or plugs enrolled in Safe Mode, they automatically switch off within seconds.
Q: Can it cut off my entire home automatically during a voltage spike?
The meter itself has no built-in contactor. For whole-circuit automatic cutoff: (a) pair Beakn smart switches/plugs with Safe Mode — they disconnect individually, or (b) wire an external contactor (sold separately) to the meter's built-in relay output for a single whole-panel cutoff.
Q: Does it auto-disconnect non-Beakn appliances?
No — it sends them an alert (app + WhatsApp) but cannot command non-Beakn devices. To automate a non-Beakn appliance, plug it through a Beakn Smart Plug enrolled in Safe Mode.
Q: My home has three-phase supply but my load is under 60A per phase — is this the right meter?
Yes. The 3 Phase Box 60A is designed exactly for three-phase homes within the 60A per-phase limit. If your load exceeds 60A per phase, consider the 3 Phase DIN-Rail 100A instead.
Q: What if my WiFi goes offline?
The meter continues reading and logging locally. Any triggered alerts are queued and delivered once WiFi reconnects. Safe Mode auto-disconnect also resumes when WiFi is restored.
Q: Is there a monthly subscription fee?
