LPF Retrofit 1 Switch
The LPF Retrofit 1 Switch is a single-channel WiFi smart switch module from Beakn's Low Profile Retrofit range. It installs invisibly behind an existing Indian switchboard in approximately 15 minutes — no new wiring, no plate change, no civil work — and converts one traditional wall switch into a fully app- and voice-controlled smart switch capable of handling a single heavy load directly.
At 16mm thick and 16A relay rated, it is purpose-built for exactly the loads that most smart switch modules cannot safely handle: a 1.5-ton split AC (7–10A draw), a 2kW storage geyser, or a 0.5HP water pump — all connected directly, with no external contactor or relay required.
It runs on Beakn's own cloud platform (not Tuya or any white-label system), includes 20 app features free with no subscription, and carries a 3-year warranty backed by NABL-accredited lab testing and BIS/IEC compliance.

Geyser auto-off (primary use case)
Connect the storage geyser to the LPF 1 Switch. Set a 20-minute auto-off timer. The geyser turns off automatically after 20 minutes regardless of how it was switched on — app, voice, schedule, or the wall switch — with no change in family habit. Estimated saving: ₹1,500–2,000/month on electricity.
1.5-ton AC smart control
The 16A relay handles a 1.5-ton split AC (7–10A draw) directly — no external contactor needed. Pair with an IR blaster for temperature scheduling through the night. Estimated saving: ₹1,000–1,500/month through AC night cycling.
Voltage spike protection for AC
Enable Safe Mode to auto-disconnect the AC when voltage goes above 280V or below 200V. Prevents an estimated ₹18,000–25,000 of compressor or PCB damage per voltage event.
Water pump control
Connect a 0.5HP water pump directly. Schedule fill times, set auto-off timers to prevent overflow, and control remotely from outside the home.
Single heavy-load remote control
Any single heavy resistive or inductive load up to 16A / 1800W (resistive) or 800W (inductive) — controlled from anywhere via app, automated on a schedule, and still operable at the wall switch.
FAQ
Why only one channel? Who needs it?
When a single heavy appliance — an AC, a geyser, or a water pump — is on its own dedicated switchboard or a board where only one circuit needs to be smart, the 1-switch is the cleanest and most cost-effective solution. It also suits anyone adding smart control to one appliance at a time.
Can it handle my 1.5-ton AC?
Yes. A 1.5-ton split AC draws 7–10A. The LPF 1 Switch is rated 16A and tested at 16A continuous load, so it handles this load directly with no external contactor needed.
Can it handle my 2kW geyser?
Yes. 2kW at 240V = ~8.3A, well within the 16A relay and the 1800W resistive max load rating.
Can it handle my 0.5HP water pump?
Yes. A 0.5HP pump draws roughly 400–500W inductive load, within the 800W inductive limit.
What about a 2-ton AC or an instant geyser?
Those loads exceed 16A. For those, use the LPF HD Module (25A / 3000W), also in the Low Profile range.

Installation
Installation & Wiring
How it installs
1.Electrician opens the existing switchboard cover — no drilling, no plastering, no civil work.
2.The 16mm LPF 1 Switch module is placed behind the existing board.
3.Wiring is connected to the module's terminals (Line, Neutral, Load, Switch).
4.The board cover is closed — the module is completely invisible.
5.The existing physical wall switch remains in place and continues to work exactly as before.
6.Module is connected to WiFi and configured in the Beakn app.
Total install time: ~15 minutes.
Wiring notes
•Neutral required at the switchboard — this is a hard requirement for all Low Profile variants.
•2-way switching is supported — if the load is currently controlled from two switch points (e.g., a staircase or long corridor), this continues to work with the module.
•The physical wall switch is never disabled; app and voice control are added on top of it.
•No hub, gateway, or bridge device is required — the module connects directly to your home WiFi and to Beakn's cloud.
