Modular Touch Bell Push Vpro
The Beakn Modular Touch Bell Push RPro is a capacitive, WiFi-enabled momentary touch bell-push module designed for doorbells. It replaces the mechanical bell-push mechanism in your existing ROMA-format modular plate — no new plate, no new wiring, no hub. A single touch triggers the doorbell, and the module brings the full Beakn smart ecosystem with it: app control, voice assistants, schedules, automations, and customizable LED indicators, all with no subscription fee.
It is part of the Beakn Modular Touch Switch range and is available in two plate-locking series — RPro (ROMA-format plates) and VPro (Vihan-format plates) — with identical specifications and features. This document covers the RPro variant.
Features
Touch & Hardware
•Capacitive momentary touch — a single touch triggers the bell; no button to press or depress, no mechanical parts to wear out
•100,000 switching cycles — at ~20 uses per day, that exceeds 13 years of reliable operation
•Surge protection — rated 2.5KV, tested up to 4KV; protects the module and connected bell circuit
LED Indicator
•Custom ON/OFF colours — set different LED colours for the bell-push state via the Beakn app (e.g. blue at rest, white on press)
•Adjustable brightness — 0–100% via app
•Night Mode — auto-dims the LED indicator after a user-set time so it doesn't glow intrusively at night

Use Cases
| Scenario | How the Bell Push RPro helps |
|---|
| Main entrance doorbell | Replaces the existing mechanical bell-push in the ROMA plate at the front door; capacitive touch triggers the doorbell cleanly |
| Visitor alerts via app | Every bell-press can trigger an app notification, so you're alerted even when away from home |
| Scheduled doorbell silence | Use automations to mute or redirect bell activity during nap times, night hours, or meetings |
| NFC-triggered bell | Stick an NFC tag near the entrance; visitors or family members can tap to trigger without touching the switch |
| Voice-activated test | Ask Alexa or Google to trigger the bell for testing or for accessibility needs |
| Night Mode entrance | LED indicator auto-dims at night so it doesn't illuminate the entrance area unnecessarily |
| Gradual smart upgrade | Mix with non-smart modules in the same ROMA plate — upgrade just the bell-push now, add more smart modules later |
