Overview
The Nexa Retrofit 2 Switch 1 Fan (also referred to as the NEXA 2+1) is a WiFi smart switch module from Beakn that installs behind an existing switchboard in approximately 15 minutes. It provides independent app, voice, and schedule control for two lighting or general-purpose loads plus one fan — making it the purpose-built solution for a standard Indian bedroom with two lights and a ceiling fan.
Like all NEXA Retrofit variants, the 2+1 requires no new wiring, no new switch plates, and no civil work. The physical wall switches continue to function normally, and all 20 smart features are included free — no subscription.
Runs on Beakn's 100% in-house platform — app, cloud, and firmware. It is not Tuya or any white-label system, unlike most budget smart switches available online.

Installation
Requirements Before Installation
•A neutral wire must be present at the switchboard — this is mandatory for all NEXA variants
•Most Indian switchboards already have a neutral; an electrician will confirm during the visit
•Standard WiFi network (2.4GHz) at the location
Installation Process
1.Electrician opens the existing switchboard cover — no drilling, plastering, or new conduits
2.The 23mm NEXA 2+1 module is placed behind the existing board
3.Wiring is connected: two switch loads (L1, L2), one fan load, neutral, and live
4.Board is closed — existing switch plates remain unchanged
5.Module is powered up and paired to the Beakn app
6.Total time: approximately 15 minutes
Post-Installation
•Physical wall switches continue to work exactly as before — no behaviour change for occupants who don't use the app
